Sgt. German Bosque is reportedly the most fined, fired and disciplined police officer in the state of Florida.
A Miami-area police officer who has been fired eight times for various infringements from three police departments has been charged with leaving his assault weapon with his girlfriend's father, according to CBS4 Miami.
Sgt. German Bosque was in front of an arbitration officer earlier this week as the Opa-Locka Police Department presented its case to dismiss him.
"We’re here on a very simple matter," city attorney Joe Geller reportedly told CBS4. "It’s going to be up to the arbitrator. We think what the officer did was wrong.”
Bosque is accused of violating department policy, which dictates that an officer's weapon should be secure at all times. It's the ninth time Bosque has had charges levied against him. According to the news station, he is the most fired, fined and disciplined officer in the state of Florida.
According to CBS4, previous charges against Bosque include:
busting the skull of a handcuffed suspect.
beating juveniles.
having drugs and alcohol in his squad car.
stealing from suspects.
falsifying reports.
participating in an unauthorized chase in which four people were killed.
calling in sick from Cancun.
“It’s allegations," Bosque’s union-provided attorney, Andrew Axelrad, told the news station. "Allegations are not convictions. We have a system in place and that system is a fair system.”
